Yusuf Estes: Preachers Converting to Islam

I actually had no intention on making this post, however due to a recent series of comments by a reader called Weekend Fischer (WF). WF had a few comments on post that I made and they were thought provoking, so I decided to reply to his statement in the form of a video post by Yusuf Estes. WF said on a post entitled “Why Are Westerners Converting to Islam?”,

“People convert to Islam because they have no understanding of Christianity.” (Weekend Fischer)

I thought Yusuf Estes’ life story would be a good reply to this statement so please enjoy the video and comment if you think it is of benefit, wasalaam.

Jesus healed the sick and restored sight to the blind. Mohammed had a blind man among his followers and never healed him — but did send him to commit an assassination. Judge for yourself who is from God.

I have and apparently so have you… I believe that Isa ibn Marayam (a.s.) and The Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) are both messengers of God. The proof of this is in Isa’s (a.s.) works and for the Prophet of Islam (s.a.w.s) there is the Qur’an, which we have today, as it was revealed. This includes the following ayah,

“O ye that reject Faith!
I worship not that which ye worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
And I will not worship that which ye have been wont to worship,
Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
To you be your Way, and to me mine.” (109:1-6)

You should note that despite the criticisms and slander… Muslims are a very influential socio-political force in this global community and you acknowledge this by giving us so much attention, wasalaam.
