July 2, 2006 § 2 Comments

The RoseThis is the second part of a series of articles intended to bring clarity about the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.). This video clip is a lesser known gathering and lecture which occurred the day after the “Great Debate” between Bro. Jimmy Swaggart and Bro. Ahmed Deedat in 1986. Bro. Deedat reveals the mention of the Prophet Muhammad in the Bible as a response to the denial of this fact by Bro. Swaggart.

  • The pronoun “he” refers to Muhammad based on a great presumption over a pronoun within a single verse of Scripture? What about the hundreds of references to God as “he” in both the Old and New Testament? I wish Ahmed Deedat would give the same level of thought and consideration to verses like John 14:6 which would either force him to acknowledge that Jesus is God or consider him a lunatic and thereby require him to distance himself from thinking that Jesus testified of a man who lived in opposition to what Jesus taught.

Is God a mere a man too on this basis? The Spirit of God indeed came, as recorded throughout the New Testament, and illuminated Christ’s words and performed many miracles for the sake of Jesus’ name. Jesus was not speaking of Muhammad, he was speaking of Spirit of God as he was God himself in the flesh.

Bro. Ahmed Deedat has since passed on, may Allah be pleased with him. However, he has written many books or booklets which oblige your wish in addition I will post the “Great Debate” at another time, this too will satisfy your wish. Thank you for your comment.

    Wasalaam.
