My Ummah

Sami Yusuf is British singer originally from Azerbaijan in Eastern Europe. Yusuf is a Muslim and his songs are mostly nasheeds. The album entitled “My Ummah” was released in 2005. However, I am just getting around to really listening to it, although I have known about it for some time.

I must say that I find the album well produced and Yusuf is a very talented singer and musician. I especially like “Hasbi Rabbi”, “My Ummah” and one of the most popular tunes “Try not to Cry”, a compilation with rap group Outlandish.

My Ummah is a great album and a pleasurable listen for Muslims and non-muslims alike. I would recommend it for anyone.
