Policy
I will not censor comments based on political or ideological point of view. I will only delete those comments that are abusive, off-topic, use excessive foul language, or include ad hominem attacks. I will pre-moderate comments by first-time commenters and post-moderate all others.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I posted a comment. Why can’t I see it on the site?
A: Sometimes I am not available to approve the comments fast enough. To address this I would like to assign editors to the site so that comments are moderated quickly and to keep a steady feed of articles through the pipeline.
Q: Why am I blocked from commenting on this blog?
-
A comment is abusive, off-topic, uses excessive foul language, or includes an ad hominem attack
-
If a commenter has previously posted comments that are abusive, off-topic, used excessive foul language, or include ad hominem attacks, your IP address may have been automatically banned. This means the abusive commenter is banned from commenting on the site in the future, even if the later comments are not abusive. If you are banned and if you so choose you may write me and request that the ban be lifted.
-
If a commenter shares a computer or IP address with someone who has written abusive comments, it could result in a comment being blocked even if the commenter has never posted anything abusive.
Q: Can I include HTML in my comments?
A: Yes, I encourage HTML especially when citing text (<blockquote> </blockquote>).
Q: Can I include a link in my comment?
A: Yes, each comment is limited to 2 links. If any more than two are included in your comment, the comment will be deleted.
Q: How can I include a paragraph break in my comment?
A: Empty lines in the body of your comment will be converted to paragraph breaks.
Thank you

Hi
Thanks for posting my article on Afghan women’s life narrative, I hope people find it interesting. It is a chapter from a book just out now: ‘Soft Weapons: Autobiography in Transit’ Chicago University Press, 07.
best wishes

Asalaamu Alaikum
I came upon your websight quite by accident looking for research material for a college class research paper. One accident I am glad that I made. I ended up reading through several of your postings and the posts of people who also have found your websight. Especially the Thanksgiving message of Peace. I must say that I fully agree with the readers comments (and yes I to am a Christian). There is to much pain and suffering in the world today and to much hatred, to not “start focusing on what is the same in our hearts instead of what is different”. I would love to stay and read more, however as the White Rabbit said to Alice “I’m late, Im late, I’m late, for a very important date”, namely the completion of my research paper. However I have bookmarked the page and will return back here again.
