As-salaamu ‘alaikum, it is finally here, the deadline for the first edition of “The Carnival of Islam in the West”. I would like to thank all of those who have contributed to the carnival. I am very excited and pleased with the turn-out. Those of you who have participated will be very pleased as well. I have been communicating with Thabet (the host of this upcoming edition) and he is putting together a very special presentation of your articles.
I would also like to introduce a few changes to the structure of the carnival. Since this is a new carnival, there will be some minor changes from time-to-time to make things run more efficiently, inshaAllah. The changes that have been made so far are:
- The deadline will now be on the first Friday of each month at 1200 GMT.
also until further notice:
- The host will determine the style of the presentation and how many articles will be selected.
Again, I would like to thank those who participated in the carnival and encourage everyone to participate in the upcoming carnival, the Ramadan Edition. The next carnival will be hosted by Ali Eteraz, you can your submit your articles here.
